Semikron Drafts the World's First National Standard Certificate for Smart Cooking Machines
Guangzhou, December 16, 2025 – At the 2025 Annual Standardization Meeting of the TC383 and TC46/SC7 Standardization Committees held today, the National Household Appliance Standardization Technical Committee officially issued participation certificates for the drafting of the national standard "Commercial Intelligent Cooking Machine" (GB/T 46718-2025) to drafting units such as Foshan Semiconductor Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., marking the completion of the drafting of the world's first Chinese standard for commercial intelligent cooking machines and its entry into the implementation preparation stage.
The standard was released by the State Administration for Market Regulation on October 31, 2025, and will be officially implemented on November 1, 2026. It is under the supervision of the China National Light Industry Council and the Commercial Electrical Food Processing and Service Equipment Branch of the National Household Appliance Standardization Technical Committee (TC46/SC7). Semikron, as one of the 34 core drafting units, participated deeply in the entire standard development process. 
Filling industry gaps and standardizing the market
With the deep integration of AI and IoT technologies in the catering industry, the market size of commercial intelligent cooking machines has exceeded 100 billion yuan. However, problems such as inconsistent product quality and performance indicators have become prominent. This standard, for the first time, systematically specifies the entire process, including terminology definitions, technical requirements, and test methods. It quantifies 12 core indicators, such as temperature control accuracy, stir-fry uniformity, oil fume control, and IoT protocols, providing the industry with a measurable and standardized technical basis.
The drafting unit has a dual role: both the drafter and the implementer
As a national high-tech enterprise, Semikron has not only contributed over 100 patented technologies and tens of thousands of kitchen scene data in the field of smart kitchen equipment, but also recently became one of the first companies to pass the 3C mandatory certification for gas-fired cooking machines with "dual gas sources," promoting the industry's technological compliance upgrade as a "standard setter and first certified party." Industry experts point out that the implementation of this standard will eliminate outdated production capacity, reduce trial-and-error costs in areas such as group catering and pre-prepared meals, provide a model for the upgrading of China's intelligent manufacturing during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, and lay a technological foundation for exporting "digital recipes" for Chinese cuisine. This annual meeting's certificate award ceremony is an official recognition of the contributions of companies like Semikron to the field of standardization.
